Our Projects

We design and develop different kind of projects in partnership with educational organizations, government, private industry and other non-profit organizations. These partnerships allow us to identify the needs, operate in the region and obtain the necessary resources through donations to develop the projects.

The projects have different objectives and approaches, and are the result of a continuous development of proposals generated by the volunteers and by the community itself. All projects are aimed at improving the living conditions of people in difficult conditions.

If you want to know more about our projects or participate in them, write us an email to info@ritalared.org, you can also make a donation to a specific project.

Narrowing the Gap

Through the partnership between RITA and TECHO (formerly called "Un techo para mi país"), RITA wants to help transform communities in extreme poverty in Cúcuta, Colombia. Our main objective is to build at least 30 houses and carry out educational workshops with the selected communities, for example, health promotion and prevention programs, natural resource and waste management and entrepreneurship workshops, among other activities.

On February 2020 we completed the first stage of this project, benefiting 16 families in the community Maria Teresa.

A Mission to Mars is our first project, which began with the creation of the foundation. Our objective is to make annual visits, with different members of the organization, to the schools and universities and to follow up through virtual tools. In July of 2018, RITA visited 10 public schools in Cúcuta, managing to inspire more than a thousand young people in Norte de Santander.

A Mission to Mars

Because we believe that education is the basis of the development of a society, with this project we want to inspire and motivate young people from schools and universities to set goals, continue their higher education and learn a new language.

We make use of different spaces for knowledge transfer, face-to-face and virtual, to show the available tools and share our experiences to guide and support young people to continue their studies.

Give me a Hand

With this project we intend to improve the quality of life of children and/or adults who have a disability due to the absence of an arm. For that purpose, we are working to provide customized 3D printed robotic arm prostheses to people living in Norte de Santander with limited economic resources. Additionally, we want to promote and market a unique technology from our region in Colombia, making alliances with companies in the region who are experts in the area.

Do you have a project in mind to help Norte de Santander?

Often we have ideas to help the region but we do not know how to materialize them. RITA wants to support and develops those projects in the Norte de Santander. Tell us about your project and how we can help you
